Born near Dublin, Ireland. Came to Philadelphia, Merchant. Consul at Antwerp in Monroe administration 1816. Merchant-Exchange Broker in New-York. Married Eliza, (...), of Col. Benjamin Fishbourn, aide de camp to General Wayne, at Stoney Point. Resided at his estate "Summerville" at Bloomingdale. (Now Riverside Drive 119th 120th STS.) - Moved to Brooklyn 1941/42?
